THE TOP TEN CHART
This week sees three new entries make their way into the chart. To accommodate these new entries, we bid farewell to Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, Dune Part Two, and The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly. We also have a brand new number one title. What could it be? Light the fuse one last time as we find out.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE EXPLODES INTO THE TOP SPOT!
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is straight in at Number 1 on this week’s Official Film Chart. The 2025 action spy movie sees Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) come out of hiding two months after the events of the previous instalment, Dead Reckoning. Battling a rogue AI known as the Entity, which has seized control of the world’s nuclear arsenal. He and his IMF allies – Benji (Simon Pegg), Grace (Hayley Atwell), and a terminally ill Luther (Ving Rhames) – race to retrieve a cruciform key and the AI’s source code from a sunken Russian submarine. With Luther’s sacrificial ‘poison pill’ plan, they lure the Entity to a fortified digital vault in South Africa. But can Hunt successfully stop a global annihilation?

JURASSIC WORLD GETS A REBIRTH AT NUMBER TWO!
Jurassic World Rebirth is a brand-new entry at Number 2. Set five years after Jurassic World Dominion, Earth’s climate has become largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Only an isolated equatorial zone sustains them, where the three most colossal land, sea, and air dinosaurs hold genetic material that could unlock a miraculous heart-disease cure. Covert operative Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson), with palaeontologist Dr. Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey) and team leader Duncan Kincaid (Mahershala Ali), is dispatched to retrieve samples. They cross paths with a shipwrecked civilian family and together become stranded on a forbidden island rife with hidden horrors. Alliances form, dangers escalate, and the fate of dinosaur and humankind hangs in the balance.

THUNDERBOLTS BEGIN TO LOSE THEIR POWER!
After topping the charts last week, Marvel’s Thunderbolts loses some of its power as it drops back to Number 3.

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON LOSES SOME MORE WING POWER!
Another former number one, How To Train Your Dragon, loses some wing power as it falls to Number 4.

TIME TO SING THE BALLAD OF WALLIS ISLAND!
Our final new entry of the week comes courtesy of The Ballad Of Wallis Island at Number 5. The James Griffiths-directed comedy sees eccentric lottery winner Charles (Tim Key) yearn to reunite his favourite folk music duo, McGwyer Mortimer. When former partners Herb (Tom Basden) and Nell (Carey Mulligan) both arrive for a private concert, without realising the other’s been invited and that the sole audience member is Charles, old tensions resurface.

A MINECRAFT MOVIE STARTS ITS FINAL LEVEL!
After dominating the chart for some time, A Minecraft Movie starts its final levels as it falls to Number 6.

LILO & STITCH GET SAND KICKED IN THEIR FACES!
Another film that has been a success in the chart, Lilo & Stitch, gets sand kicked in its face as it falls to Number 7. However, the film has yet to come off PVOD, and so, it can easily bounce up again.

COULD THIS BE ITS FINAL DESTINATION?
Another film that has been dominating the charts recently, Final Destination: Bloodlines, could be facing a final destination of its own as it drops to Number 8.

SINNERS GET CAST DOWN AGAIN!
One of this year’s biggest successes, Sinners, drops to Number 9 this week.

WICKED AIN’T SO BAD!
And finally, the movie that has almost flattened every other in the chart recently, Wicked, shows it isn’t so bad as it drops to the tenth and final position.

IT’S TIME TO LOOK UP!
Guess what this week’s highlight on PVOD is? If you said Superman, you’d be right! The film that has launched James Gunn’s DCU is now available to rent for £15.99 or to buy early for £19.99. (Did I? What do you think?!). David Corenswet stars as Clark Kent / Superman, alongside Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, and Isabela Merced. In the film, Superman faces unintended consequences after he intervenes in an international conflict orchestrated by billionaire Lex Luthor (Hoult). Superman must win back public support with the help of his reporter and superhero colleagues. Gunn and Peter Safran of DC Studios produced the film. I’ll be straight with you…JUST GRAB IT!!

Will Superman be looking down on the rest of the chart next week as it flies straight to the top? Join me again next week to see if the Man Of Steel can take down the rest of the chart. So, until then…
Whatever you decide, whatever you buy, stay safe, be kind, look after one another, and happy viewing!
