Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler & Joe Perry, YUNGBLUD and Nuno Bettencourt to honour “Prince of Darkness” with must-watch salute to the global rock icon.
The 2025 MTV “VMAs” today revealed a powerhouse tribute of Rock & Roll royalty with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler & Joe Perry. YUNGBLUD and Nuno Bettencourt, all coming together for a once-in-a-lifetime performance honouring the legendary “Prince of Darkness” and metal luminary Ozzy Osbourne, with a medley of his greatest hits.
With more than 120 million albums sold worldwide, Ozzy, the global rock icon, multi-platinum singer-songwriter and pop culture phenom, was a 5x GRAMMY winner. Two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, both with Black Sabbath in 2006 and as a solo artist in 2024. With stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Birmingham Walk of Stars, among a multitude of other top accolades.
Ozzy’s long-standing and storied MTV history spans Headbanger’s Ball in the ’80s. Battle for Ozzfest, and the groundbreaking reality TV series The Osbournes, to name a few. He was honoured with the prestigious MTV EMA’s Global Icon Award in 2014. Later this year, Paramount+ will debut the feature-length documentary “Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now.”

YUNGBLUD
Yungblud is fast becoming one of the world’s key musical voices of his generation, blending influences

Nuno Bettencourt is an internationally acclaimed guitarist, singer-songwriter, and producer best known as the lead guitarist of Grammy-nominated rock band Extreme, whose worldwide hits include the #1 single More Than Words. With over 10 million albums sold, Bettencourt has earned recognition as one of the greatest guitarists of his generation, gracing the covers of nine major guitar magazines in 2023 alone, with Guitar World calling his solo in “Rise” the “guitar solo of the century.” Beyond Extreme, he has collaborated with icons such as Rihanna, Steven Tyler, Paul McCartney, and Janet Jackson, showcasing a versatility that has made him one of rock’s most influential and in-demand musicians.
