With cameras rolling on Shawn Levy’s Star Wars: Starfighter, a new look has been revealed from the set of the Star Wars epic!
With cameras now rolling, Shawn Levy has shared a fresh look from the set of Star Wars: Fighter. The hotly anticipated film stars Hollywood icon Ryan Gosling. He makes his franchise debut alongside Deadpool & Wolverine director Levy. Recently, Lucasfilm shared the full cast for the film. As expected, it is full of incredible talent.
In addition to Gosling, Star Wars: Starfighter officially stars Flynn Gray, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings, and Amy Adams. Directed by Shawn Levy, the film is produced by Levy and Kathleen Kennedy. Executive producers are Ryan Gosling, Dan Levine, Mary McLaglen, and Josh McLaglen. The script is by Jonathan Tropper.
FIRST LOOK
After dropping the first black-and-white shot and revealing the full cast, the studio just put out a cool new pic from the set. This scene shows Ryan Gosling and Flynn Gray relaxing in the gorgeous Mediterranean Sea, sporting outfits that exude serious mechanic or smuggler vibes, all while lounging on a stylish loading platform. This project is really shaping up to be something special! Check it out below.

Levy’s movie is the first of many new projects being developed by Lucasfilm. These include films by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold, Taika Waititi, and a new trilogy by Simon Kinberg. However, Star Wars: Starfighter is set approximately five years after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. But of course, there’s a small matter of The Mandalorian and Grogu. This will return the saga to the big screen next year.
Shawn Levy has assembled an all-star cast to bring the adventure home, and judging by this new image, the film appears to be one of the most anticipated Star Wars films to date. Exciting times ahead for the Star Wars universe.
