The poster features Ares in the classic “TRON” pose, with Kevin Flynn guiding him through the portal. The gloriously retro poster is set against the backdrop of the Grid from the original TRON. But before we get derezzed, take a look at the poster below.

SYNOPSIS
“TRON: Ares follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings.”
Although the previously released trailers and synopsis offer some hints about what we can expect in the sequel, Disney is keeping most details under wraps. Only a select few with access to the Master Control Program know the specifics of the plot. But with Jeff Bridges returning as Kevin Flynn and Jared Leto exploring the digital realm outside The Grid, TRON: Ares promises to be another exciting addition to the franchise.

RELEASE
What an effortlessly glorious new poster! The graphic design team at Disney deserves recognition for this atmospheric one-sheet that transports us back to the Grid. If the film can capture the same atmosphere as the poster, fans can look forward to a sensational return to the Grid next week.
Disney has scheduled the film’s release for October 10th, 2025. The studio famously announced that Nine Inch Nails would compose the soundtrack.
