It’s time for our monthly check-in with the team at Shudder to find out what’s streaming in November 2025. With the Halloween festivities all but over, the streamer is unveiling some hidden gems to keep the horror train rolling down the tracks. As the clocks go back and creepy crawlies emerge from hibernation, Shudder is presenting a lineup that deserves your subscription. There are some juicy new titles continuing “The Season of Screams.” Also, a bumper crop of killer classics is joining the already impressive horror library, proving that Shudder is the place to be this November. So, grab a cushion to hide behind as we unpack another month of horrific awesomeness.

NEW RELEASES
November is always a struggle for horror fans as Halloween fades. The arrival of the festive period triggers the onset of lighter, fluffier fare. But thankfully, Shudder has two new movies and a treasure trove of new TV titles to make the season go with a bang. Kick-starting the month’s new releases on November 1st is Abraham’s Boys: A Dracula Story. In the film, the descendants of Van Helsing discover their family’s heritage. This sets in motion a chain of events that will reunite them with their iconic adversary. On November 4th, the new unscripted, horror-based competition show Guts & Glory reaches its crescendo. The show flips the script on the traditional competition show and thrusts players into an immersive horror experience full of unexpected challenges.
Continuing the fun, The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula: Titans season two continues to put the glam back into the gothic. Another crop of drag artists returns to battle in design, performance, and makeup-based challenges. These challenges are inspired by horror, science fiction, fantasy, and the supernatural.

MORE EPIC HORROR
Fast forward to the 14th, and the second season of The Creep Tapes awaits us. The new season will continue to expose a collection of videotapes from the vault of the world’s deadliest serial killer. Unfortunately, as the tape rolls, the killer’s questionable intentions surface with his increasingly odd behavior. Victims will learn they may have made a deadly mistake. With David Dastmalchian guest-starring, this is a show not to be missed.
Finally, rounding out the big new releases on November 17th is the English Dub Version of Emilie Blichfeldt’s superb The Ugly Stepsister. This excellent twist on the Cinderella story is a rare gem. Centering on Cinderella’s stepsister, the film takes body horror to a new twisted level. It serves up a feast of shocks and bloodlust. Picture a dark and twisted blend of Labyrinth meets The Substance!

THE UGLY STEPSISTER
Our team was lucky enough to catch an early screening of the film, and we loved this dark and twisted take on a classic. Our Lead Editor, Phil Roberts, said: “Emilie Blichfeldt’s The Ugly Stepsister is a shockingly enjoyable, twisted take on the Cinderella story. Pivoting to the ugly stepsister, it takes body horror to a whole new, stomach-churning level. It’s brilliantly original, but uncomfortable to watch. Brutally good fun!”
Our News Editor, Carl Roberts, also had a blast with this one. He said, “The Ugly Stepsister is a dark retelling of the Cinderella story, told from the perspective of a stepsister. With a mix of Labyrinth and The Substance, some stomach-churning scenes, and some unexpected humour, this is a body horror fairy tale, not for the squeamish. Highly recommended.” You can read Carl’s full review of the film here. Don’t miss it!
LAST MINUTE ADDITION
We have just heard that there’s a late addition to the Shudder roster this month. The streamer has confirmed that Ben Leonberg’s genre-bending horror film, Good Boy, will be available on the platform on November 21st. The film is a traditional ghost story, but from the perspective of a dog. We were fortunate to get an early look at the film and had a blast.
In my review, I said, “Good Boy is a solid addition to your horror watchlist. Ben Leonberg has delivered a tense, thought-provoking horror that will see you cuddling your beloved pets long after the credits roll. While the movie may not be the breakthrough we all hoped for, it effectively creates a thrilling environment that will inspire others for years to come. With its brilliantly executed isolation backdrop and dark, gloomy setting, the film transforms a house in the woods into a terrifying landscape, packed with solid jump scares.” Read my review here.

BUT THERE’S MORE…
Thankfully, November’s streaming highlights aren’t only dominated by new releases. Cellar dwellers have a treasure trove of classic horror to look forward to throughout the month. From The Changeling to The Hitcher, there’s a banger waiting to be explored. But you’re in the mood for some classic sci-fi with your horror? Then James Cameron fans are in for a treat. Last month, Shudder invited us to explore the story behind James Cameron’s beloved sci-fi epic, Aliens. So dive in and get your Xenomorph party started.
