After its Headline Gala screening at the BFI London Film Festival, Die My Love will be hitting screens later this year. Check out the new posters here.
MUBI, the global film distributor, streaming service, and production company, has released new key artwork for Die My Love. It is the sensational new film from writer/director Lynne Ramsay (You Were Never Really Here, Morvern Callar, We Need to Talk About Kevin). The film recently received its UK Premiere at the BFI London Film Festival to great acclaim. It arrives in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 7 November.
The artwork features Grace (Jennifer Lawrence) and Jackson (Robert Pattinson), a couple who have recently moved into an old house deep in the country. With ambitions to write The Great American Novel, Grace settles into her new environment, and the couple welcome a baby soon after. However, with Jackson frequently – and suspiciously – absent, and the pressures of domestic life starting to weigh on her, Grace begins to unravel, leaving a path of destruction in her wake.
PREMISE
A hopeful, young, and loving couple (Grace and Jackson) moves from New York to an inherited house in the country. Grace tries to find her identity with a new baby in an isolated environment. Yet as she begins to unravel, it’s not in weakness but imagination. Grace discovers herself in strength and a stunning, untamed vivacity.
Set in rural America, “Die My Love” captures a woman overwhelmed by her intense love and spiralling into madness. It stars Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle). Robert Pattinson (Mickey 17, The Batman), LaKeith Stanfield (Judas and the Black Messiah, The Book of Clarence), Nick Nolte (Cape Fear, 48 Hours, The Prince of Tides), and Sissy Spacek (Carrie, Coal Miner’s Daughter, In the Bedroom).
OUR REACTIONS
We saw the film at the BFI London Film Festival recently. In my reactions to the film, I said: “Die My Love is very heavy-going fare. On one hand, it is a stunning look at a woman’s loss of her grip on reality. On the other hand, it can get confusing and annoying. Jennifer Lawrence plays her role brilliantly while Robert Pattinson does well with his content. A real melon scratcher.”
Our Lead Editor, Phil Roberts, had this to say about the film: “Lynne Ramsay’s Die My Love is a solid but heavy descent into madness. Although it fails to offer anything fresh, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson perform admirably as the strained married couple. With its strong conversation about mental well-being, it’s a must-watch.” Check back for our full review soon.

DIRECTOR STATEMENT
At the heart of this story is the complexity of love and how it can change and transform over time. I aimed to keep it grounded, human, spontaneous and funny at times, capturing the moments that feel small but carry a lot of weight. This film is for anyone who’s ever been in a relationship – there’s heartbreak and beauty in vulnerability.
