Following its world premiere at DOC NYC yesterday, Sky today announces Children No More will air on Sky Documentaries and streaming service NOW on 3 December.
Directed and produced by Hilla Medalia and produced by Yael Melamede and Sheila Nevins, this poignant observational short follows a group of peace activists in Israel staging silent vigils to mourn Gaza’s dead children. As their protests grow in size, their interactions with passersby denouncing them become ever more heated. This happens while standing alongside protesters calling for the release of Israeli hostages. It’s a rare glimpse of a small and little-covered movement. They are trying to build empathy and compassion to challenge the horror of war.
