Get ready to return to the Upside Down because Vecna, Mike, Will, Lucas, and Dustin are joining the map in the latest collection of Fortnite x Stranger Things characters.
Get ready, Stranger Things fans, because Vecna, Mike, Will, Lucas, and Dustin have arrived in Fortnite. We’ve known for some time that a new collaboration with the landmark Netflix series was looming on the horizon. With the fifth and final season emerging from the underworld on November 26, fans had high hopes for new additions to the already impressive lineup. And today, finally, our wishes have been granted with FIVE new characters.
As mentioned at the top of the post, Eleven, Hopper, and the Demogorgon are getting some serious backup for the final season. Mike Wheeler, Will Byers, Lucas Sinclair, and Dustin Henderson are all bringing their skills to the map. But if that isn’t enough to have you suiting up for battle, Vecna is coming to unleash his tendrils across the map.
VECNA
The new Vecna skin looks incredible, as if it has been taken directly from the series and placed into the game. The attention to detail on this skin is astounding, providing players with the most realistic and lifelike version of the character to date. To make the skin even more impressive, the team at Epic Games has rewarded the villain with some great cosmetics. The monster will have a pickaxe designed as a tendril-covered axe, complemented by a matching tendril-covered clock as a back bling. Completing the set is a spooky emote that enhances the character’s sinister appeal. Check out the bundle below.

TEAM HAWKINS
As for the members of Team Hawkins, each of them boasts an uncanny likeness to their real-life counterparts, a vast improvement over the previous Hopper skin. Sadly, Hopper only boasted a passing resemblance to David Harbour, which let the set down a bit, but thankfully, Epic Games made up for that oversight by releasing a spectacularly screen-accurate version of Eleven recently. So, what’s in this mega-bundle, I hear you ask. Well, get ready to brace your wallets, because this set is a killer!
Each member of the team comes with a schoolbag back bling and a suitably characteristic pickaxe. But what makes the set even more awesome is the addition of two emotes. The first features Will Buyers, cycling through the woods before his kidnapping in the first season. The second emote, however, is dedicated to his mother, Joyce, who spent the first season trying to communicate with Will through a string of Christmas lights and an impromptu alphabet system. Take a look below.

PRICING
Sadly, neither Vecna nor the members of Team Hawkins come with a glider or weapons wrap, so players will have to repurpose the classic Demogorgon Tendrils wrap here. As for the glider, I’ll leave that in your capable hands.
Unfortunately, with Team Hawkins boasting four skins, four pickaxes, and four back blings, the set is a deluxe premium collection, and the price tag reflects its contents. Vecna, on the other hand, is more traditional, so he is way more affordable. However, Fortnite will always split the components to make the set more affordable. Read on for the full breakdown.

RELEASE
Frankly, it is wonderful to see new characters from the series finally making their way to the map. Previously, only Eleven, Hopper, and the Demogorgon had been released in the game. So it was a pleasant surprise to see this new collection revealed. But could other characters from the series be looming on the horizon? Joyce Buyers would be an excellent addition to the Fortnite map. So would her son, Jonathan, played by Charlie Heaton.
But perhaps the most sought-after skin would be Joe Keery’s Steve Harrington. After all, Eleven came with Steve’s Bat as a pickaxe, so Steve would be the natural choice to bring to the map. Fans will also be hoping to see Sadie Sink’s Max Mayfield or Natalia Dyer’s Nancy Wheeler make their debut in the game. But given the scale of this drop, they might be a step too far for this current collaboration. But Stranger Things have happened!
The new Fortnite x Stranger Things skins are available from the item shop until December 4th.
