Look out, Fortnite fans, because Marty McFly is coming Back to the Future with the DeLorean for Chapter 7
Get ready to charge the Flux Capacitor, because Marty McFly and the DeLorean from Back to the Future are heading to Fortnite. This weekend’s ‘Zero Hour’ live event looks absolutely stacked. With Superman, The Simpsons, Godzilla, Kong, the Power Rangers, the TMNT, K-Pop Demon Hunters, and the Bride from Kill Bill already confirmed to be involved, the event promises to be an all-timer. However, in the recently released key art for the event, the DeLorean from Back to the Future made a shock appearance.
The DeLorean’s involvement triggered a wave of excitement among fans, who were ecstatic at the prospect of a Back to the Future collaboration. And in the days that followed, Epic Games went one better when they unveiled the line-up for the first Battle Pass of Chapter 7. With the season heralding the arrival of a new map, two big collaborations have been confirmed to be leading the charge. First up is the recently revealed Bride from Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill. But to the delight of a happy fanbase, Michael J. Fox’s Marty McFly was also shown. Take a look at the teaser below.
TIME CIRCUITS ON!
That’s right, Marty McFly will be behind the wheel of the DeLorean during this weekend’s live event and will play a significant part in the new season. What’s more, fans can look forward to playing as Marty when the new season gets underway. Sadly, Fortnite has not yet revealed when Marty will be available. Still, given the significance of the collaboration, we expect the skin to be next season’s secret skin; therefore, he’ll be the last skin to unlock.
ENTER THE DELOREAN
The DeLorean will be featured in this weekend’s Zero Hour live event, so there is a chance the time machine will make a surprise debut in the item shop tonight. However, that is unlikely. Most likely, the vehicle will be released later in the season when Marty is available. But now, the big question fans are asking is: What about Doc Brown? Will Christopher Lloyd’s iconic Doc be arriving on the map next season?
Once again, until Fortnite provides more details about the collaboration, the answers to these questions will remain frustratingly elusive. Given the current landscape of licensing and image rights, Epic Games has likely invested a substantial amount in acquiring the rights to Back to the Future. Therefore, I expect that Doc Brown will soon be joining the DeLorean in the item shop in the near Future….or in the past!

Either way, Back to the Future fans can now look forward to a colossal season. With the Bride unleashing her vengeance and Marty McFly racing us through time in the DeLorean, Season 7 looks like it’s going to be a hit. It remains to be seen what other surprises Epic Games has in store for us. Still, given the incredible collaborations already planned, Season 7 seems to be shaping up to be a memorable one, and we are fully on board for it.
Fortnite Chapter 7 gets underway after Zero Hour bookends the current Simpsons season. Expect downtime to be hefty because this map change is going to be HUGE! Happy playing!
