Paramount Pictures UK unveils some highlights from its 2026 movie slate, including Primate, Scream 7, and more! Get the details here.
As we prepare to bid a fond farewell to 2025 and the major studio movie releases, our eyes turn to 2026 and what lies ahead. Paramount Pictures UK has taken the plunge and revealed some of its upcoming titles set to hit screens next year. These include comedy, drama, music, horror and family titles that will appeal to audiences, whatever their favourite genre. First up, though, is a movie that is opening on December 20th this year, ready to entertain the whole family.
THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SEARCH FOR SQUAREPANTS
20th December 2025Â
SpongeBob and his Bikini Bottom friends set sail in their biggest, all-new, can’t miss cinematic event ever…The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants. Desperate to be a big guy, SpongeBob sets out to prove his bravery to Mr Krabs by following The Flying Dutchman – a mysterious swashbuckling ghost pirate – on a seafaring comedy-adventure that takes him to the deepest depths of the deep sea, where no Sponge has gone before.
We recently saw the film. While we will publish our full review closer to the film’s release date, we can publish our social media reactions. After watching the film, I had this to say about it:
#TheSpongeBobMovie is a completely bonkers, nuts, charming and often hilarious family animated movie that is bound to become the must-see family film for Christmas.
With @MarkHamill as the Flying Dutchman, the film is superb.
Terrific entertainment
PRIMATE
30th January 2026
In PRIMATE, a group of friends’ tropical vacation turns into a terrifying, primal tale of horror and survival.
When will people ever learn? We shouldn’t mess with nature in any way, shape or form. Otherwise, we run the risk of something like this actually happening!
SCREAM 7
27th February 2026
When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realised as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.
I love the Scream franchise, going all the way back to the original movie in 1996. After the last two movies, Sydney returns to the front of the franchise once again, after Neve Campbell stepped away from the previous film due to a salary dispute, and a supporting role in the fifth film.
BILLIE EILISH – HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR
20th March 2026
Presented in 3D and directed by Academy Award winners James Cameron (Avatar: Fire and Ash) and Billie Eilish, the concert film was captured during Eilish’s sold-out world tour.
A two-time Oscar and nine-time Grammy Award winner, Eilish is among the most celebrated and successful artists of her generation and consistently ranks among the most-streamed performers in the world.

Although we haven’t had a trailer for the film yet, could this be 2026’s blockbuster concert movie? The fans will ultimately decide!
PARAMOUNT TITLES COMING LATER IN 2026
If those four movies don’t manage to tantalise your movie taste buds, there’s more coming from Paramount Pictures UK later in the year:
Scary Movie 6
Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie
Tad and The Magic Lamp
StreetFighter
The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender
Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol
Focker In Law
Angry Birds Movie 3

These are just the tip of the movie mountain coming in 2026 from Paramount Pictures UK. We will keep you up to date on these and other movies coming to screens in 2026.
