Vue Lumière Announces The UK & Ireland Release Date For Julia Jackman's 100 Nights Of Hero

Starring Emma Corrin, Maika Monroe, and directed by Julia Jackman, 100 Nights Of Hero is coming to UK & Irish cinemas soon from Vue Lumière.

Vue Lumière, the film distribution division of leading European exhibitor Vue, has announced the UK and Irish theatrical release date for the film 100 Nights of Hero as 6 February 2026.

Following its recent three BIFA nominations, this brings the film into the awards corridor for BAFTA consideration. It is eligible across multiple categories, including Best British Film, Best Director, Adapted Screenplay, various HODs/crafts and both leading and supporting cast.

DIRECTED BY AND STARRING

Directed by Julia Jackman, 100 Nights of Hero had its World Premiere at the Venice International Film Festival 2025. It was the Closing Night Film of this year’s BFI London Film Festival. It features an all-star cast, including Emma Corrin (Nosferatu, The Crown) and Nicholas Galitzine (upcoming Masters of the Universe). Additionally, it stars Maika Monroe (Longlegs), BAFTA winner Amir El-Masry (Limbo, Giant) and Charli xcx. Notably, it also stars Academy Award nominees Richard E Grant and Felicity Jones.

THE PREMISE

Based on the acclaimed graphic novel by Isabel Greenberg, and inspired by the Middle Eastern folktale One Thousand and One Nights, it is a fantastical take on multiple stories, multiple loves, loyalty, madness, wagers, seduction, betrayal and the secret League of Story Tellers. The narrative highlights female friendship and the subversive power of storytelling.

The film is produced by Stephanie Aspin and Helen Simmons of Erebus Pictures, alongside producer/financier Grant S Johnson of Project Infinity (May December, The Assessment). WME Independent represents the international rights.

CRITICAL PRAISE

The film has garnered some great critical praise, with notices like:

“Emma Corrin is superb in this Margaret Atwood and Arabian Nights mashup … filtered through a Sofia-Coppola-esque sensibility” – THE TELEGRAPH

We recently saw the film at the BFI London Film Festival. While we are unable to give you our full review at this time, we can confirm that the film is a wonderfully enjoyable, often hilarious, and superb film that deserves to be nominated for every award it has been nominated for. Emma Corrin deserves to win several awards for her witty, cunning performance in the film.

EVE GABEREAU

Vue Lumière’s Director of Distribution, Eve Gabereau, says:

“I am thrilled to be bringing this film to the UK and Ireland and to be joining forces with the team behind it, from director Julia Jackman whose work I have admired including Bonus Track which was co-created by Josh O’Connor and her short, Pigs, starring Olivia Williams, to the extraordinary producers Helen Simmons, Stephanie Aspin and Grant S. Johnson, to the most inspired cast for this much-loved graphic novel adaptation.”

The producers say:

“the UK has long needed a fresh theatrical distributor with commercial and artistic ambitions – so we are incredibly excited to be working with Vue to bring our film to UK audiences. The perfect home for 100 Nights of Hero!”

TIM RICHARDS

Founder and CEO of Vue, Tim Richards CBE, added:

“Having been on the BFI Board for 10 years, including three as Chair, I am delighted to be part of such a high-profile film and prestigious festival premiere. We are fully committed to supporting British talent and building audiences for new British films with Vue Lumière. This is a perfect film for us.”

100 Nights of Hero had its UK Premiere as the Closing Night at the BFI London Film Festival in October 2025, was nominated for three BIFAs and is now submitted in multiple categories for consideration at the BAFTAs. IFC Films will release the film in North America on 5 December 2025.
