Under Salt Marsh, Rob & Romesh Vs Winter Olympics, A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms, and more deliver a happy new year on Sky and NOW.
It’s 2026, and Sky and NOW are bringing in the New Year with an all-new slate of exciting entertainment. Kelly Reilly and Rafe Spall star in Under Salt Marsh. It is a gripping new Sky Original drama set in an unassuming Welsh coastal town. The town is ripped apart by an unspeakable crime. Also, this January, Rob and Romesh are joining forces with Team GB. They try their hands at winter sports in Rob & Romesh vs Winter Olympics. And we’re heading one hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones. We meet Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg. This occurs in a new tale from George R.R. Martin – A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
Over on Sky Cinema, we’re back in the terrifying world impacted by the Rage virus outbreak. Director Danny Boyle presents 28 Years Later. And, if the kids haven’t quite acclimatised to the Christmas come-down, there’s the premiere of Smurfs to keep the party going.
Under Salt Marsh
Under Salt Marsh is a limited series from writer, creator, and executive producer Claire Oakley. It is set in the fictional Welsh town of Morfa Halen, a tight-knit community precariously nestled between towering mountains and a fast-encroaching sea. The sea threatens its very existence.
As a once-in-a-generation storm begins to gather far out at sea, former detective turned teacher Jackie Ellis (Kelly Reilly) discovers the body of her 8-year-old pupil, Cefin. He seems to have drowned. The discovery sends shockwaves through the community. It revives the ghost of an unsolved cold case that rocked the town three years prior. It was the disappearance of Jackie’s niece, Nessa, which cost her career. Cefin’s death summons Jackie’s former partner, Detective Eric Bull (Rafe Spall), back to Morfa Halen. He leads the investigation into a community he failed once before. Convinced the cases are connected, Jackie and Bull must reconcile. They aim to uncover long-buried secrets in Morfa before the storm arrives. This must be done before it washes away all the evidence for good.
An intimate and cinematic story, Under Salt Marsh takes audiences into the heart of a community bound by nature and fractured by an unthinkable crime.

There, she uses clever tactics to win cases while hiding a hidden agenda. As we reopen the case files on season two, Matty questions the paternity of the man claiming to be Alfie’s father. At the same time, her partner Olympia tries to protect ex-husband Julian’s involvement in the Wellbrexa case.
