Directed by Lynne Ramsay and starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson. MUBI announces the streaming date for the movie Die My Love.
MUBI, the global film distributor, streaming service and production company, is proud to announce that the sensational new film from writer/director Lynne Ramsay (You Were Never Really Here, Morvern Callar, We Need to Talk About Kevin), Die My Love, will be available to stream exclusively on MUBI from 23 January 2026.
PREMISE
A hopeful young and loving couple (Grace and Jackson) move from New York to an inherited house in the country. Grace tries to find her identity with a new baby in an isolated environment. Yet as she begins to unravel, it’s not in weakness but imagination, strength, and a stunning, untamed vivacity. In these, she discovers herself anew.
Set in rural America, Die My Love is a portrait of a woman engulfed by love and madness. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle) and Robert Pattinson (Mickey 17, The Batman). It also features LaKeith Stanfield (Judas and the Black Messiah, The Book of Clarence), Nick Nolte (Cape Fear, 48 Hours, The Prince of Tides), and Sissy Spacek (Carrie, Coal Miner’s Daughter, In the Bedroom).
AWARDS WINS AND NOMINATIONS
The film received its World Premiere at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Jennifer Lawrence received the Donostia Award at the San Sebastian Film Festival and was nominated for a Gotham Award for Outstanding Lead Performance. She also got a nod for Best Female Actor (Drama) at the 2026 Golden Globes. “Die, My Love” grabbed seven nominations at the British Independent Film Awards, including Best Director for Lynne Ramsay and Best Lead Performance for Jennifer Lawrence. The film ultimately won two awards for Best Cinematography and Best Music Supervision.
LYNNE RAMSAY STATEMENT
At the heart of this story is the complexity of love and how it can change and transform over time. I aimed to keep it grounded, human, spontaneous and funny at times, capturing the moments that feel small but carry a lot of weight. This film is for anyone who’s ever been in a relationship – there’s heartbreak and beauty in vulnerability.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
The film has been receiving superb critical notices, with quotes like:

We saw the film at the BFI London Film Festival and were amazed by what we saw. Our editor, Phil Roberts, said this about the film:
Lynne Ramsay’s #DieMyLove is a solid but heavy descent into madness. Although it fails to offer anything fresh, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson perform admirably as the strained married couple.
With its strong conversation about mental well-being, it’s a must-watch. #LFF
Whereas I said about the film:
#DieMyLove is very heavy going fare.
On one hand, it is a stunning look at a woman’s loss of her grip on reality
On the other hand, it can get confusing and annoying.
Jennifer Lawrence plays her role brilliantly, while Robert Pattinson does well with his content
A real melon scratcher
