THE CHRISTMAS FAVOURITES START TO ARRIVE!

As we expected, the festive movies have started to hit the chart placings. This week sees no more than four classic favourite titles land inside the top five. What are they and where do they sit? Grab your sleigh as we find out.

(1) THE GRINCH (ANIMATED)

Continuing its festive stronghold, The Grinch (Animated) remains perched at Number 1. The colourful, mischievous adaptation of Dr Seuss’s beloved story blends humour and heart as the Grinch attempts to sabotage Christmas, only to discover its true spirit, making it a firm family favourite.

(2) THE POLAR EXPRESS

Close behind at Number 2, The Polar Express surges with seasonal magic. The animated adventure follows a young boy’s enchanting Christmas Eve journey to the North Pole, celebrating belief and imagination through its distinctive visual style and timeless message.

(3) ELF

A joyful climb places Elf at Number 3, reinforcing its status as a modern holiday classic. Will Ferrell’s exuberant performance as Buddy the Elf delivers slapstick laughs and heartfelt warmth as he searches for family and spreads Christmas cheer.

(4) WICKED

Now sitting at Number 4, Wicked continues to shine beyond the festive genre. The musical phenomenon explores the untold origins of Glinda and Elphaba, pairing spectacular production design with emotionally resonant storytelling and unforgettable songs.

(5) THE GRINCH

The Grinch completes an all-Christmas Top 5 this week. This classic festive favourite tells the story of the grumpy green Grinch who lives above Whoville and decides to steal Christmas, only to find his heart transformed by the town’s joyful spirit.

(6) DOWNTON ABBEY: THE GRAND FINALE

Outside the festive stronghold, Downton Abbey – The Grand Finale settles at Number 6. The elegant conclusion to the Crawley family saga delivers refined period drama, emotional farewells and a fitting sense of closure for long-time fans.

(7) JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH

Maintaining its momentum at Number 7, Jurassic World – Rebirth continues to bring blockbuster spectacle to the chart. New dinosaur species, high-risk missions and global stakes push the franchise further into ambitious territory.

(8) F1: THE MOVIE

At Number 8, F1 The Movie remains in contention with its adrenaline-fuelled look at elite motorsport. Intense racing sequences and behind-the-scenes drama highlight the pressures and rivalries of life on the world stage.

(9) DRACULA

Dropping to Number 9, Dracula keeps its gothic grip on the chart. This modern retelling of Bram Stoker’s legendary vampire story leans into dark atmosphere, suspense and a fresh perspective on the immortal antihero.

(10) BRIDGET JONES: MAD ABOUT THE BOY

Rounding out the Top 10, Bridget Jones – Mad About the Boy continues to offer warmth and wit. Bridget’s latest chapter blends romance, humour and emotional honesty as she navigates motherhood and unexpected new turns in her personal life.

WHAT WILL BE THE CHRISTMAS NUMBER ONE TITLE?
