Let them try. On March 27th, the bloodbath begins in cinemas. The horror comedy, They Will Kill You, looks to be a hilariously violent, over-the-top, gory rollercoaster ride. It seems to be a mix of The Raid movies and Ready Or Not. The cast features Zazie Beetz in the lead role. Myha’la, Paterson Joseph, Tom Felton, Heather Graham, and Patricia Arquette are in supporting roles. The official trailer just dropped today, offering our first glimpse of what’s in store. Fair warning—the trailer is undeniably Red Band, showcasing plenty of violence, gore, and strong language throughout. It also gives off a serious Kill Bill vibe.
WHOSE BEHIND THE MOVIE
Kirill Sokolov directed the film, while Sokolov and Alex Litvak crafted the screenplay. The production team includes Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Dan Kagan, with Russell Ackerman, John Schoenfelder, Carl Hampe, Litvak, and Sokolov serving as executive producers.
Behind the camera, Sokolov is joined by director of photography Isaac Bauman, production designer Jeremy Reed, editor Luke Doolan, costume designer Neil McClean and visual effects supervisor Marc Smith. The composer is Carlos Rafael Rivera, the music supervisor is Andrea von Foerster, and the casting director is Richard Delia.
THE PREMISE
From New Line Cinema and Nocturna comes “THEY WILL KILL YOU”. The film unleashes a blood-soaked, high-octane horror-action-comedy in which a young woman must survive the night at the Virgil, a demonic cult’s mysterious and twisted death-trap of a lair, before becoming their next offering in a uniquely brazen, big-screen battle of epic kills and wickedly dark humour. The film was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, in 2024.

That’s not the only poster released today. In a cunning and quite clever move, a set of three posters has also debuted, with members of the cast appearing as the trio spells out the film’s tagline: “Let Them Try.”
