“Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Sea of Monsters continues, delivering another great episode.”
The end is near; there are only two episodes before the season concludes. But rest assured, this isn’t the end. Percy Jackson and the Olympians is currently filming its third season.

A RESCUE MISSION
Last week’s episode put Annabeth and Percy to the test in the sanctuary on the sea of monsters while Clarisse reunited with Grover on Polyphemus’ island. The path was left clear for everyone to reunite, minus Tyson, whose whereabouts were still unknown. Obviously, things do not go as planned, as we saw last week, Polyphemus is more cunning than he seemed at first. This complicates the situation for our heroes.
What was supposed to be a straightforward rescue mission takes an unexpected turn. Polyphemus is a worthy foe for Percy and his friends. Undoubtedly, it’s an episode that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The stakes are high – Percy and Annabeth are here to rescue Grover and Clarisse, but they also need to get the Golden Fleece. After being absent for an episode, Tyson is finally back. There is a reunion, but not for everyone. Polyphemus is a significant threat, so facing him comes at a cost.

ANOTHER CHALLENGE ARISES
The threat looming over the season from the very beginning was always Luke. And now he makes his return. Percy and his friends are trading one threat for another and one captured friend for another. Luke’s return means something; it raises the stakes that were already significantly high. It also calls for difficult choices. In fact, it echoes what was touched upon in last week’s episode. Everything is coming together, everything is in place for the final act of the season, and it promises to be explosive.
Luke is a compelling opponent because he’s not a one-dimensional villain. He has motives, and he’s not inherently evil. He is a complex character who is not entirely wrong, but he’s not doing it the right way. Moreover, he clearly knows how to manipulate people into getting on his side. And he’s ready to go to great lengths to reach his goal. That’s what makes him a dangerous threat. Charlie Bushnell is great in the role; he skilfully showcases the complexity of this character.
VERDICT
Percy Jackson and the Olympians delivers another great episode. It raises the stakes as the heroes finally try to reunite, only to face their next challenge.

The sixth episode of Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 releases today on Disney+.
