STUDIOCANAL has today launched the international trailer and poster for HOW TO MAKE A KILLING, a wickedly entertaining thriller starting Glen Powell and hitting cinemas across the UK & Ireland on March 13th.
John Patton Ford, the writer and director behind Emily the Criminal, takes inspiration from STUDIOCANAL’s classic Ealing Comedy, Kind Hearts and Coronets, for this film. HOW TO MAKE A KILLING stars Powell after his star turns in The Running Man and Top Gun: Maverick. He is joined by Margaret Qualley (The Substance, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Maid). It also features Jessica Henwick (Cuckoo, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery), Zach Woods (Silicon Valley, In The Know), Topher Grace (Flight Risk, BlacKkKlansman) and Ed Harris (Love Lies Bleeding, Top Gun: Maverick).
PREMISE
Disowned at birth by his obscenely wealthy family, blue-collar Becket Redfellow (Glen Powell) will stop at nothing to reclaim his inheritance, no matter how many relatives stand in his way.
Pete Czernin and Graham Broadbent produce HOW TO MAKE A KILLING at Blueprint Pictures. Ron Halpern, EVP Global Production, and Joe Naftalin, SVP Global Production, oversee the project for STUDIOCANAL.

The film appears to be a highly enjoyable, often comedic movie that will thrill and entertain audiences. It also gives us memories of the classic Ealing comedies. Glen Powell is fast becoming the go-to actor these days, and the film appears to suit him and his talents to the ground. Add in Margaret Qualley, who looks to be playing the ultimate femme fatale, from the looks of the trailer. Jessica Henwick, who always excels, and the always reliable Ed Harris, and we could be in line for a great start to the movie year. It could lay down a marker for being the most fun movie of 2026. Sadly, we will have to wait a few months to see if we are right in our assumptions. But the wait could indeed be worth it.
