Those lovable little yellow creatures return once again with the first trailer and the first look at Minions & Monsters. Bello! They are here to cause havoc!
Bello! They’re back! Anyone who knows me knows I adore and love the Minions. The banana-loving creatures never fail to make me cry with laughter. After making their debut in the original Despicable Me, they are hardly off the cinema screens. Every two years or so, they make an appearance, whether in the new Despicable Me movie or their own standalone film. This summer, they return for their third solo movie. Minions & Monsters is set to open on July 1st.

Produced by Illumination and distributed by Universal Pictures, it is the sequel to Minions: The Rise of Gru, a prequel to Despicable Me, and the seventh entry overall of the Despicable Me franchise. Pierre Coffin returns to the director’s chair again, as well as voicing the Minions themselves. Brian Lynch writes the film’s screenplay. The first look at the film has arrived, with the first trailer at the Super Bowl. Peel yourself a banana as we take our look:
PREMISE
In the 1920s, three minions go to Hollywood to pursue their dreams of becoming filmmakers, but they discover a spellbook and accidentally summon a monster.
If the first trailer isn’t enough to have you yelling “Bello!”, the studio has also shared the first poster for the project. The glorious one-sheet features our beloved Minions coming face to face with a pink-tentacled monster. Take a look below.
