Netflix releases the new trailer, new stills and announces the soundtrack to Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, coming this March.

Tommy Shelby was never destined to be a normal, mortal man.

Get your caps on — the Peaky Blinders are back. Four years after we said goodbye to the Shelby clan in the series finale of Peaky Blinders, Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) and his crew of Birmingham mobsters are returning to Netflix. They return in a new feature film, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. Steven Knight, the creator of the series, wrote this film, while Tom Harper, recognised for his work on Wild Rose and Heart of Stone, directed it. The Immortal Man follows the Shelbys into a new era. Netflix has gifted fans and us all with the new trailer and stills.

“It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me,” says Cillian Murphy. “It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans.”

Fans of the show will be excited to hear that the film hits cinemas on March 6, and will be available on Netflix starting March 20.

THE PREMISE

Birmingham, 1940. Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby is driven back from a self-imposed exile. He must face his most destructive reckoning yet. With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons. He must choose whether to confront his legacy or burn it to the ground. By order of the Peaky Blinders

Academy Award winner Cillian Murphy returns as the iconic Tommy Shelby in this epic feature film directed by Tom Harper and written by Steven Knight.

ABOUT THE SOUNDTRACK

RCA Records UK have announced that the official soundtrack to Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man will be released on 6th March.

The soundtrack features 36 tracks in total, with 5 brand new original recordings, spanning newly commissioned songs and an expansive original score. Long-time Peaky Blinders collaborators Antony Genn and Martin Slattery return to compose the film’s original score, while Grian Chatten from Fontaines D.C. and Amy Taylor from Amyl & the Sniffers contribute powerful new recordings that bring new voices to the Peaky Blinders soundscape.

Alongside the original material, the soundtrack features a curated selection of needle-drops from artists who have shaped the Peaky Blinders sound, including Nick Cave, Fontaines D.C., Lankum, and McLusky. Highlights include a newly recorded version of Nick Cave’s ‘Red Right Hand,’ Grian Chatten’s collaboration with Lankum on ‘Hunting The Wren (The Immortal Man version),’ and two transformative Massive Attack covers—one by Grian Chatten, the other by Girl In The Year Above.
