The Fortnite Showdown Chapter 7 Season 2 Gameplay Trailer Unleashes The Rock!

Look out, Fortnite players, because Epic Games just dropped the gameplay trailer for the Fortnite Showdown Battle Pass featuring Bugs Bunny, and a new version of The Rock’s Foundation.
No more Mister Ice Guy! We are just hours away from the new Fortnite Showdown season, and the anticipation is at fever pitch. Not only has Epic Games teased a fun throwback season, but the early teasers have confirmed the return of the game’s legendary villain, the Ice King. Epic Games recently dropped the first key art for the season, revealing the return of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Foundation. But today, Epic Games has officially released the official gameplay trailer for Fortnite Showdown Chapter 7 Season 2, and it doesn’t just confirm the return of the Ice King.
The fun new trailer gives us our first look at the new characters who will feature throughout the Battle Pass, including Bugs Bunny and more. And upping the ante, is The Rock’s Foundation raising that iconic eyebrow and uttering the badass words “No more Mister Ice Guy!” So, grab a carrot or two and head down the rabbit hole and press play!
SHOWDOWN
As you can see in the trailer, we have a treasure trove of characters to enjoy this season. First up, those juicy rumors hinting at a collaboration with Looney Tunes are officially confirmed by the inclusion of Bugs Bunny in the Battle Pass. Get ready to shout “What’s up, Doc?” with Bugs before Lola Bunny and Daffy Duck enter the item shop sometime throughout the season. Aside from Bugs, the Battle Pass appears to be light on collaboration characters. Instead, the pass features remixes of existing characters, along with a few new additions to the roster.
First up, those remix characters. In addition to the Ice King, the pass features an all-new version of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Foundation. Johnson is a massive fan of the game and will be relishing his return to the in-game action. With a new skin and updated graphics, the character looks better than ever. But if Jules and The Order are more your speed, you’re in luck because both of these legacy characters will be getting the re-skin treatment.
NEW CHARACTERS
Thankfully, the other half of the pass consists entirely of new characters, although they may look similar to any number of previous skins released over the years. We have a new Fisherman Fishstick skin to enjoy, as well as two female characters yet to be named who will be swinging into action.
RELEASE
Sadly, aside from the Key Art and what we’ve seen in the trailer, we still know very little about the new season. However, the return of the Ice King and The Foundation hints at a flashback season packed full of OG surprises, so players have much to look forward to. Throw in a bunch of new weapons, some long-awaited mythic weapons, and a treasure trove of new skins coming to the item shop, and Fortnite Showdown promises to be a banger!
Fortnite Showdown Chapter 7 Season 2 kicks off on March 19.
