From new commissions to returning favourites, Sky Originals, premium global drama and blockbuster movies, 2026 and beyond is looking great on Sky!
This week has seen Sky unveil a major line-up of Sky Originals and exclusives coming to Sky and NOW in 2026 and beyond.
Announcements were made by the talent themselves at Sky’s content showcase, UP NEXT. Host Dermot O’Leary welcomed Meghann Fahy, James McAvoy, Ashley Walters, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jack Whitehall, Rob Brydon, Steve Coogan, Gemma Collins, Archie Renaux, Dani Dyer, Jamie Redknapp and more to the stage. As a result, they raised the curtain on the upcoming slate.
The lineup reinforces Sky’s position as the home of unmissable storytelling, as it continues to champion distinctive voices and world-class talent – delivering the defining must-watch moments of the year ahead.

NEW COMMISSIONS AND RETURNING FAVOURITES
Sky unveiled a mix of new commissions and returning favourites. Among today’s announcements was  Meantime, a brand-new Sky Original comic crime thriller from Frankie Boyle and Neil Webster. It is based on Boyle’s debut novel and stars BAFTA winner James McAvoy. The series has now started production. Additionally, it is set to arrive on Sky next year.
New entertainment format, The 100 Day Split – a bold and emotionally charged relationship series that follows six couples who have been together since childhood as they take on the ultimate test: spending 100 days apart.
Fearne Cotton, one of the UK’s most recognisable broadcasters, will join Stephen Mangan as co-host of the upcoming series of Landscape Artist of the Year. Series 12 will follow 10 artists over an eight-week journey across the UK. Meanwhile, they will paint remarkable landscapes.

FIRST LOOKS AT UPCOMING SKY ORIGINALS
Several exclusive first-looks for upcoming Sky Originals set to air in 2026 were shared. These include Possession, the five-part limited event series written and created by Karla Crome. This series follows a young lawyer as she embarks on a journey to Jamaica to challenge an inheritance claim. Fans have also had a first look at season 2 of the darkly comic Sky Original thriller Sweetpea. In particular, it stars Ella Purnell, Tamsin Greig and Rish Shah.
Saturday Night Live UK announced its first three hosts. Tina Fey will host the launch episode on 21  March. Next, acclaimed Northern Irish actor Jamie Dornan will appear on 28 March. Meanwhile, Academy Award-winning British actor Riz Ahmed will host on 4 April. Lead Producer James Longman joined the UP NEXT stage alongside two members of SNL UK’s inaugural cast, Ania Magliano and Paddy Young. As a result, they discussed how the show is shaping up.

PREMIUM GLOBAL DRAMA
Sky continues to deliver the best international content with a new slate of premium drama, including the hotly anticipated return of Heated Rivalry for a second season in 2027, plus new mystery thriller Yaga later this year.
Arriving in 2026 will be gripping crime drama Superfakes from A24, created by Emmy winner Alice Ju and executive produced by award-winning actress Lucy Liu, who also stars alongside Ken Leung.
The ‘Burbs, starring Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall, will air on 1 April. Additionally, new drama PONIES, starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson, is coming in May.
These titles join a standout lineup of acquisitions for Sky and NOW. Moreover, the slate also includes The Miniature Wife, Euphoria S3, House of the Dragon S3, Fightland, Crystal Lake and The Good Daughter.

A BLOCKBUSTER FILM LINE-UP
This week, a new Sky Original film titled *Blood on Snow* was announced. Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, this crime thriller is based on Jo Nesbø’s novel. The plot follows a hitman played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, in 1970s Oslo, who falls for his target, the wife of his boss.
Audiences enjoyed the trailer for the new film, Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom. This marks Aardman’s first Shaun movie in seven years. Dani Dyer, who attended the event, was revealed as a voice cast member.
These new titles will complement an already packed Original film slate in 2026. This includes Animol, the debut feature film from Ashley Walters. Also joining are Fuze, a David Mackenzie heist movie starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Theo James and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. Shaun the Sheep: Beast of Mossy Bottom and Mutiny (Jason Statham) are part of the slate. Thus, Sky continues its commitment to bringing audiences exclusive access to original films and major cinematic storytelling.

THE HOME OF UNMISSABLE ENTERTAINMENT
These announcements follow Sky’s recent news of a world-first TV bundle bringing together Disney+, HBO Max, Netflix and Hayu in a single subscription alongside Sky TV. For the first time, new customers can get Sky TV, HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+ and Hayu together as part of Sky Ultimate TV from £24 a month, and millions of existing customers will get this included in their subscription.
Alongside this content slate, as the UK’s leading sports broadcaster, Sky Sports continues to offer fans unrivalled access to the biggest live sporting moments.
