Forget getting a shot! This is one virus that you won’t shake off! If it spreads, you’re dead! Get ready for exploding Reindeer as Studiocanal announces the release of Cold Storage. The film is a ticking-clock science-fiction epic on Home Premiere from 6th April. In addition, it arrives on 4K, Blu-ray & DVD from 11th May.
From the producer of Zombieland, directed by Jonny Campbell (Netflix’s Dracula) and written by David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible, Spider-Man), COLD STORAGE stars Joe Keery, Georgina Campbell, and Liam Neeson. The film will also be released as an HMV EXCLUSIVE 4K. Notably, this version features alternate artwork and a selection of 4 art cards. It is strictly limited to 1,000 copies.
ABOUT THE FILM
Night shift can be a killer as Stranger Things superstar Keery, horror leading lady of the moment Campell (Barbarian, Psycho Killer), and Taken’s Neeson go up against a lethal fungus from outer space in a storage facility. In this knockout horror comedy, the film delivers an equal dose of thrills and chuckles. Furthermore, there is a large dollop of gloopy gore thrown in.
Packed with B-movie thrills, gruesome kills, a slick script from Koepp, and a fantastic cast (including Lesley Manville and Vanessa Redgrave, who totes a gun and shoots zombies), not to mention a mad mutant reindeer, COLD STORAGE is an infectious sci-fi zom-com splatter horror that’ll make your skin crawl.
THE PREMISE
When a highly contagious, mutating fungus escapes a sealed facility, two young employees, joined by a grizzled bioterror operative, must survive the wildest night shift ever. Their goal is to save humanity from extinction, as the microorganism spreads and destroys everything in its path.
OUR THOUGHTS
We saw the film and loved it. It was an enjoyable, silly movie that combined great humour, gore, violence, and scares to keep everyone entertained. Our reviewer, Phil Roberts, had this to say about the film:
