Based on Kane Parsons’ web series inspired by the “Backrooms” creepypasta, A24 releases the new trailer and character posters for Backrooms.
Get ready for a new kind of horror experience. A24 has released the new trailer and character posters for their upcoming movie, Backrooms. The film is directed by Kane Parsons and is based on his web series. That series is loosely based on the internet urban legend/creepypasta, The Backrooms. Parsons has two great leads for his movie, Academy Award nominees Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Reinsve. The film is a supernatural science fiction horror story. It concerns a therapist searching for her missing patient. Everything must go as we take a new look at what to expect.
THE PREMISE
A strange doorway appears in the basement of a furniture showroom, causing a therapist to venture into an otherworldly dimension in search of her missing patient.
The film is a mix of traditional (if we can call it that) horror and the found-footage genre. From the looks of the trailer, the two combine extremely well. This has led us to believe we could be about to watch something extraordinary. It certainly looks gripping and intriguing. Moreover, it could be the sleeper horror hit of the year.
