Scary Movie is a real Wayans Family Affair in the new featurette, as Lizzo and Sexyy Red reveal the music video for their original song, Hoes.
After twenty-four years, Scary Movie returns in two weeks’ time. Returning to the franchise they created, the Wayans brothers are back. Featuring a cast that includes the return of Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Jon Abrahams, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Dave Sheridan, Anthony Anderson, and Chris Elliott, the film is the first film in the franchise in thirteen years. To celebrate, a new featurette has been released, showing us that the film is a real Wayans family affair.
Think of every horror movie from the past ten to fifteen years. Did they scare you? Are you still afraid of them? Not anymore! Spoofing all the horror movies we’ve come to love, including Halloween, Friday the 13th, Scream, M3gan, Sinners, The Substance, Weapons, Terrifier, Smile, Get Out, and Longlegs, the film looks to be a return to the vulgar, jaw-droppingly funny, gross, and totally non-woke style of the first two movies. And I’m all here for it! Check out the official trailer below.
THE PREMISE
Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (“Ghostface”), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs, and no horror movie IP is safe. Marlon Wayans (“Shorty”), Shawn Wayans (“Ray”), Anna Faris (“Cindy”), and Regina Hall (“Brenda”) reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.
HOES BY LIZZO FEATURING SEXYY RED MUSIC VIDEO
That’s not all. The film also features an original song, Hoes. It is performed by Lizzo featuring Sexyy Red. You can pre-order and/or listen to the track here. To promote the song, the artist has released a music video for it.
