Fortnite has confirmed that Typical Gamer will be the latest addition to the Fortnite icon series. The OG content creator is coming on 28th May.
Look out, Fortnite fans, because Typical Gamer is officially the latest addition to the Fortnite icon series. The legendary OG content creator, whose real name is Andre Rebelo, joined Epic Games by announcing the collaboration on his live stream. The gamer has been a community favorite for some time, and now, at long last, he is being rewarded with his very own in-game skin. The skin will be jumping into the item shop soon, and as expected, it comes with a treasure trove of cool cosmetics. But before we dive into some OG awesomeness, let’s take a look at the skin and what his set looks like!
THE OG IMPACT!
With 26.5M followers across social media and 9.7B YouTube views, Andre Rebelo is one of Fortnite’s most recognizable streamers. He’s also the founder and CEO of JOGO, a UEFN creative studio behind some of Fortnite’s most popular games and experiences. Sixteen years after his YouTube debut, this Icon is worth the wait!
Today, players can also compete in the Solo Battle Royale Typical Gamer Icon Cup! Top regional performers will unlock the Redway Ruby Outfit, and the top of the top will earn the entire Typical Gamer Bundle. Check the Compete Tab for regional start times.
REDWAY RUBY
You heard right, longtime Fortnite favorite Ruby is also getting an update, and she fits right in with Typical Gamer. With a cool new tie-in skin, Redway Ruby is back and packing some serious attitude. But thankfully, Typical Gamer’s bundle is also stacked with some great new accessories. In addition to his three skin styles, he boasts a Random Challenge Emote, a Go Live Emote, a Heist Duffle Back Bling, a Stealth Slicer Pickaxe, and a cool new loading screen. What an awesome new addition to the Fortnite Icon Series. Typical Gamer has been at the forefront of Fortnite since day one, so it’s great to see him finally making a splash on the map. Plus, with all the cool updates for Ruby and some seriously epic cosmetics, Typical Gamer’s set is a shoo-in to delight OG fans everywhere.
And finally, in honor of Typical Gamer, Epic’s also bringing back the fan-favorite Indigo Kuno Outfit, in the Shop from 29th May to 31st May 31. So get ready for some OG action when Typical Gamer drops into the item shop on May 28.
