Directed by Paul Wright and starring George Mackay and Rosy McEwen, Blue Finch Films releases the first teaser for the new drama, Mission.
Blue Finch Films proudly presents the first teaser for MISSION, a gripping new drama thriller that delves into one man’s intense journey to reclaim his life. This powerful and emotional story comes from the creative mind of Paul Wright, known for his work on For Those In Peril. The film stars George MacKay (1917, Femme), Rosy McEwen (Blue Jean, Black Mirror), Emun Elliott (Game of Thrones, Prometheus), and Emma Naomi (Bridgerton, Professor T). Additionally, the film will have its World Premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on Saturday, 15 August 2026.
THE PREMISE
Adrift, Dylan (MacKay) gives himself one week and a mission: to truly live before he dies. However, transcendence gives way to transgression as Dylan pushes himself and the world around him to the very limits. He does this in the hope of finding meaning, connection, and salvation.

MISSION is a co-production between Early Day Films and 65 Wilding Films. It is proudly supported by BBC Film, Screen Scotland, and Ffilm Cymru Wales. Additionally, the project has funding from the National Lottery.
BAFTA award-winning producers Kate Byers and Linn Waite from Early Day Films. Alex Thiele from 65 Wilding Films, Marie-Elena Dyche from Meraki Films, and Lowri Roberts from Rapt brought this project to life. Maisie Williams from Rapt is serving as an associate producer. The executive producers include Kristin Irving from BBC Film. Kieran Hannigan from Screen Scotland, and Kiah Simpson from Ffilm Cymru Wales.
