Here in the UK, Blue Film means something rude. It is an often-used slang term for a pornographic movie. These typically circulated on low-quality VHS cassettes back in the day. Now, you can find them on DVD, Blu-ray, and digital formats. Or perhaps it means the same thing around the world (who knows?). No matter what, though, the title of Elliot Tuttle’s upcoming movie of the same name fits into that category. It is an independent psychological thriller/ drama starring Kieron Moore as a sex worker. Reed Birney stars as a former middle school teacher — and self-admitted pederast — who reconnect. Peccadillo Pictures will be releasing the film in the UK on September 11th. Additionally, there will be a digital release on October 19th. The company has released a teaser trailer for the film.
Elliot Tuttle’s provocative psychological thriller BLUE FILM follows Aaron (Kieron Moore, TV series Boots and Masters of Air). Aaron is a fetish camboy who meets a mysterious client (Tony Award winner Reed Birney, Mass) with a disturbing connection to his past. Praised for Moore’s breakout performance, the critically acclaimed film premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. It will be released in UK cinemas on 11th September.

THE PREMISE
When fetish camboy Aaron Eagle (Kieron Moore) visits a client in exchange for $50,000, he discovers a masked man (Reed Birney) waiting with a camera and a series of increasingly probing questions. But when the man reveals a disturbing connection to Aaron’s past, the two men begin to shed their carefully constructed personas, gradually exposing their true desires.
Featuring powerful performances from Reed Birney and Kieron Moore, and hailed as “one of the most daring American films of recent vintage,” BLUE FILM is an arresting chamber piece that is as visceral as it is thought-provoking.
