From Making Marie Antoinette to the classic Point Break and beyond, MUBI has a great collection of classic and new titles this November.
Yet again, MUBI is offering an exciting mix of new titles and collections. Moreover, these are coming to the platform throughout the month.
Celebrating the 20-year anniversary of Sofia Coppola’s 2006 cult classic is Making Marie Antoinette. It is a new documentary directed by her late mother, Eleanor Coppola, offering a rare, intimate look at unseen footage shot by Eleanor during the film’s production. Meanwhile, the Pulp Action collection is for action-packed thriller fans. It brings together a solid line-up of films that revel in spectacle. For example, it features the breathlessly compelling Point Break (1991) and the darkly comedic Riders of Justice (2020). Furthermore, the Andrzej Wajda 100th Anniversary collection celebrates the centenary of Polish filmmaker Andrzej Wajda. His films are fiercely centred on Polish history, political upheaval and the friction between state oppression and individual freedom.
MUBI’s Latest & Greatest strand welcomes Kent Jones’s thought-provoking drama Late Fame (2025). In addition, Susan Streitfeld’s Female Perversions (1996), starring Tilda Swinton, remains as relevant as ever in its transgressive interrogation of women’s sexuality, identity fragmentation, and societal conditioning.
MUBI RELEASES: MAKING MARIE ANTOINETTE
Eleanor Coppola’s intimate documentary, Making Marie Antoinette (2026), revisits the making of her daughter Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette (2006). She draws on around eighty hours of unseen footage Eleanor shot during the film’s groundbreaking production at Versailles. Twenty years on, the documentary offers a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse of a landmark film. In addition, it shows a young director finding her voice.
Featuring Milena Canonero at work on the film’s iconic costumes and readings from Eleanor’s journals by Diane Lane, the documentary captures the craft behind Sofia’s vision while becoming an unexpectedly intimate portrait of the bond between mother and daughter.
Making Marie Antoinette (Coppola, 2026) – November 6
LATEST & GREATEST: LATE FAME
Kent Jones’s Late Fame (2025) follows former poet Ed (Willem Dafoe), whose brief encounter with a group of young artists threatens to pull him back into New York’s creative life he has long left behind. As Ed navigates the attention of his newfound admirers, Jones quietly considers the gap between artistic ambition and the lives we eventually settle into. Furthermore, he captures a SoHo caught between its bohemian past and its increasingly polished and gentrified present.
Late Fame (Jones, 2025) – November 13
ANDRZEJ WAJDA 100TH ANNIVERSARY
The Andrzej Wajda 100th Anniversary collection celebrates the centenary of Andrzej Wajda, one of Poland’s most influential filmmakers and a defining figure of the Polish School of Cinema. Across a career spanning more than five decades, Wajda explored Poland’s turbulent history and shifting political landscape, often placing individual lives against the wider forces continually shaping the country, equal parts intimate human drama and sweeping historical storytelling.
Innocent Sorcerers (Wajda, 1960) – November 13
Man of Marble (Wajda, 1971) – November 13
The Wedding (Wajda, 1973) – November 13
The Promise Land (Wajda, 1975) – November 13
Without Anesthesia (Wajda, 1979) – November 13
Man of Iron (Wajda, 1981) – November 13
PULP ACTION
Pulp Action brings together a riot of adrenaline-fuelled thrillers, cult favorites and action classics which revel in larger-than-life characters, explosive set-pieces (and explosions), and downright cool swagger. These films remind us that sometimes cinema is most exhilarating when it goes all out, embracing excess and the sheer delight of spectacle on the big screen.
The Hitcher (Harmon, 1986) – November 20
Point Break (Bigelow, 1991) – November 20
The Boondock Saints (Duffy, 1999) – November 20
The Good, the Bad, the Weird (Kim, 2008) – November 20
The Guest (Wingard, 2014) – November 20
Riders of Justice (Jensen, 2020) – November 20
REDISCOVERED: FEMALE PERVERSIONS
Susan Streitfeld’s Female Perversions (1996) sees Tilda Swinton as a fiercely ambitious lawyer whose carefully constructed life begins to unravel under the pressures of power and her relationship with her own femininity. Bold to this day, this psychosexually charged examination of the contradictions women face in the modern world is as strange and thought-provoking as its title suggests.
Female Perversions (Streitfeld, 1996) – November 13
