On Sunday 12/03/17, Disney hosted a press event in Los Angeles attend by many Star Wars bloggers and Podcasters in the community.
I asked a few of them what the event was like and below are what they said about their experience.

Amy Ratcliffe from Nerdist:
I had a surreal time doing the TV junket for Nerdist. I interviewed Rian Johnson, Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, John Boyega, Kelly Marie Tran, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, and Laura Dern. Whew.
Everyone was upbeat, though they’d done a million interviews by that point. Kelly Marie Tran was especially kind and her enthusiasm was infectious.
Rian was a delight as well. I asked him about what Carrie Fisher added to the script, and he mentioned he’s looking forward to sharing more specifics once the movie’s out.
Oscar Isaac and Laura Dern were paired and they said some really sweet things about Carrie. I can’t wait until Nerdist gets my videos edited!

Bryan Young from How Stuff Works, StarWars.com and Full of Sith:
Of course it was a great time to be surrounded by colleagues gathered to learn more about The Last Jedi. The excitement the cast talked about felt electric throughout every inch of the space. And there’s no greater thrill than to be in the room where it happens.
As far as my interviews, I was limited to interviewing BB-9E and BB-8. I was there mostly to cover the press conference, but hopefully in the future I’ll be able to expand my interviews beyond the droids.

Tricia Barr from Fangirls Going Rogue:
Watching the cast talk about the movie and the characters gave me even more confidence in the direction The Last Jedi is taking.

Richard Woloski Skywalking Through Neverland:
It was amazing to see most of the cast all together. You could really feel how much of a family they have become since The Force Awakens. I didn’t interview anyone directly, but I did get a chance to ask director Rian Johnson a question. I had asked him about being inspired by the visual feel of The Empire Strikes Back. He is a big fan of Empire but most of all he wanted to focus on the story which is the most important aspect to any film.
The entire press conference can be found on AMC Facebook page.
Thanks to Amy, Bryan, Tricia and Richard for sharing your experiences of this event with us!Feel the Force on Social Media.
