The OASIS Awaits: Paladone’s Ready Player One Heat Changing Mugs

Our friends at Paladone unveil a doorway into the OASIS…

Paladone:

During the release of last years’ blockbuster, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, I was fortunate enough to review the Star Wars multi-character heat changing coffee mug manufactured by the fantastic gift specialists, Paladone. (Read my review here). Paladone began life in 1994 as a small novelty gift company. Now, a couple of decades later they’ve dropped the ‘novelty’ and deliver trend-based, innovative, beautifully designed and packaged gifts and merchandise to over 80 countries across the globe.

I was blown away by the incredible amount of detail put into the manufacture of their incredible products and was delighted to hear that they would be producing a similar range for Steven Spielberg’s highly anticipated blockbuster, Ready Player One.

Ready Player One Paladone Mug Review

Based on the best-selling novel by Ernest Cline, Ready Player One details the plight of a virtual reality world called the OASIS (Ontologically Anthropocentric Sensory Immersive Simulation). When the designer dies, he releases a video in which he challenges all OASIS users to find his Easter Egg, which will reward the finder with his fortune. (Read my review here)

The Mug:

In its standard form, the mug is an aesthetic delight. The vibrant multicoloured logo of Ready Player One shines vibrantly against the darkened background of the black sheen and makes for a perfect cup of coffee on its own. However, once hot liquid fills its cavity, the magic happens, and the OASIS really comes to life. As the receptacle heats up, the incredible virtual reality framework of the OASIS is revealed, shining incredibly in a glowing blue radiance. The artwork is incredible and quite spectacular once uncovered which makes the average cup of coffee a far grander experience. Having the OASIS revealed so vividly is an absolute joy and only serves to heighten our connection to Steven Spielberg’s remarkable movie…

Final Thoughts:

Since the launch of their Star Wars line, Paladone have continued to build upon their incredible inventory with more breath-taking additions to a collection that sets them apart from their competitors. Their Ready Player One range is no different. Their Star Wars collection set a new standard for the gift retail market, but with their Ready Player One assortment, Paladone have surpassed even those standards and have refined their incredible products tenfold.

I am a self-confessed connoisseur of entertainment mugs, and take pride in having at least one variety from each of the franchises making up my list of favourites. And now, my Ready Player One incarnation will now take its place among them, sat alongside Batman 1966, Star Wars and The Punisher. I cannot wait to see what they have in store for us with their upcoming Avengers: Infinity War collection.

The lure of the OASIS is stronger thanks to Paladone. Why not make them a part of your Ready Player One story…

Game on!

Ready Player One from Warner Bros and Village Roadshow is playing in cinemas now. Book your tickets and set off on an adventure too big for the real world…
