The hunt is on in Shane Black’s relaunch of the Predator franchise.
After many frustrating months with little information to feast our eyes upon, we finally have our first taste of what we can expect when Shane Black’s relaunch of the Predator franchise arrives this September.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s refusal to participate in the sequel/reimagining had left many fans fearing the worst, but that is all about to change. During the prestigious CinemaCon event this past week, 20th Century Fox revealed the synopsis for the upcoming blockbuster and unveiled the highly anticipated trailer which is expected to debut to the public soon.
“From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.”
Shane Black’s exciting sequel appears to be playing close to narratives of the Arnold Schwarzenegger original cult classic, and with the intriguing plot point of genetic manipulation added to the mix, we could be in for a roller coaster ride of nostalgic terror when the movie arrives on our cinema screens in September.
THE PREDATOR stars Boyd Holbrook (RUN ALL NIGHT), Olivia Munn (THE LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE), Trevante Rhodes (MOONLIGHT, WESTWORLD), Keegan-Michael Key (KEANU, FRIENDS FROM COLLEGE), Thomas Jane (THE PUNISHER, THE MIST), Yvonne Strahovski (CHUCK), Alfie Allen (GAME OF THRONES), Sterling K. Brown (THIS IS US, ARMY WIVES), and Edward James Olmos (COCO, BLADE RUNNER). The highly-anticipated movie featuring one of sci-fi’s greatest creatures will arrive in cinemas on September 14th.
