The hunter has evolved and has adopted all-new armour for his return to earth.
The hunt has evolved.
The tag-line from Shane Black’s highly anticipated sequel in the Predator franchise makes it very clear – the alien hunter is returning to earth, and this time the hunt has evolved to a terrifying new level.
Hot on the heels of the exciting new trailer, Empire magazine has unveiled its amazing new cover editions to commemorate the Predator’s big screen return and they contain incredible new images of the creature. The subscriber edition boasts a golden metallic silhouette of the Predator, whilst the standard edition reveals the new hunter emerging from the darkness and ready to hunt anew.
If that isn’t enough to whet our appetites, as we rummage through the glossy pages of the magazine, we encountered incredible new images which reveal the cool new armour our Fugitive Predator will be wearing for its hunt.
Check them out:
Director Shane Black has worked diligently to ensure the Predator has been refreshed for this latest addition to the franchise and has taken it upon himself to restore the hunter’s terrifying edge and it would seem he has succeeded in spectacular fashion. In fact, the new Fugitive Predator looks outstanding. Familiar, yet new with a fresh and ominous edge and ready to eviscerate anyone brave enough to take up arms against it….and we haven’t even touched upon the new hybridised version of the beast.
“The challenge became to make it frightening. ’Cause upon that hinged everything — whether you bought our heroes going up against him and felt a real threat for them. We had to invent a scenario in which the Predators were mysterious and scary again.”
Excitement for The Predator is building by the day and I, for one cannot wait to take my seat for my midnight IMAX screening and enjoy as the kill counter goes through the roof. And, if the rumours are true and the Predator hounds from the 2010 sequel Predators are involved, we could be in for one hell of a ride when the movie hits our screens this September.
Start predicting the body count now!
The Predator arrives in cinemas on September 14th.
