The battle for supremacy is about to begin.
After the colossal global success of Godzilla and Kong: Skull Island all eyes are on Legendary Pictures as anticipation builds for the next chapter in the MonsterVerse series, Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
With a colossal showdown between Godzilla and Kong set for 2020, hype for the MonsterVerse has never been higher, and at San Diego Comic-Con fans were treated to the jaw-droppingly awesome new trailer for the next instalment in the Godzilla series King of the Monsters.
The movie follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah.
When these ancient super-species — thought to be mere myths — rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
Despite being restricted to a limited screen presence during his homecoming to the big screen Godzilla has returned to stake his claim on the global box office and in King of the Monsters, the mighty kaiju has his work cut out. What’s more, is the pandemic driven human element to proceedings.
With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, mankind appears to be at the mercy of these supreme titans, while at the same time appearing to be reliant upon them to save us from global extinction. And with the King Kong, greatest movie monster in cinematic history waiting in the wings to stake his claim on the throne, can the world survive one cataclysm only to be consumed by another.
The MonsterVerse is the only place to find out.
