Stranger Things 3 | Terror Lurks in the Gripping New Trailer

This July 4th terror lurks in the shadows of Hawkins

At long last, the trailer for the third and reportedly final season of Stranger Things has finally arrived. Netflix’s tentpole series has an enormous fan following and has been in receipt of both critical and commercial acclaim since its debut in July 2016.

Tapping into the nostalgia of yesteryear and reminding us of the awesomeness of our childhood’s has paid off famously. Season one featured an abundance of Star Wars references while season two tapped into the eighties vibe with a Ghostbusters theme that was prevalent throughout its entire run.

What themes await us in season three we wonder. Thankfully, the answers we seek have arrived sooner than expected. Today Netflix has unleashed the first full trailer for Stranger Things 3 which reveals the sleepy town of Hawkins once again gripped by a plague of strange goings-on. Our heroes are becoming teenagers and are struggling to come to terms with the changes that it brings, all the while an impending threat continues to grow in the shadows.

Wow. This trailer is oozing with vibes reminiscent of both James Cameron’s The Terminator and John Carpenter’s The Thing with its Schwarzenneger type hitman and monstrous creature.

Stranger Things 3 stars returning actors Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Dacre Montgomery, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, Winona Ryder, and David Harbour, along with new additions Francesca Reale, Maya Hawke, Jake Busey, and Cary Elwes.

Stranger Things 3 will premiere on Netflix on July 4th.
