Annlyel explores the transition of earth’s mightiest heroes between the events of Infinity War and avenging the fallen in Endgame…
When Avengers: Infinity War came out last year I didn’t realize just how amazing it was going to be. Now, a year later, I still watch the film in utter fascination because it truly is that good. After recently reacquiring myself with the movie a new look at Avengers: Endgame was released to celebrate the arrival of being able to pre-order tickets. And, of course, I watched it.
The trailer may have only been a minute long but it was absolutely amazing as it highlighted even more tantalizing moments with The Avengers and finally the first look at Thanos resplendent in his golden armor.

After seeing the trailer I couldn’t help but think of Infinity War and where these characters are now. Hence, this post. So, on that note, let’s look at the remaining heroes and their moments from the past to the tragic present.
Ant-Man Was Lost But Now He Has Been Found Again
For Ant-Man the threat of Thanos was nonexistent so imagine his surprise when he discovers what happens. The last time we saw him he was stranded in the Quantum Realm.
Obviously, from the trailers, he managed to escape but I’m pretty certain that he probably lost his family due to Thanos’s snap. That’s when the direness of the situation will truly set in and we’ll see Ant-Man on a mission to save the galaxy.
Tony Stark and Peter Parker, Together No Longer
When Tony Stark recruited Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War he didn’t realize how close a bond he would end up obtaining with the teenager. He started to care for the youngun but the last thing he wanted was for Peter to enter the conflict provided by Thanos.
Peter, wanting to prove himself, joined Tony Stark in facing Thanos and would end up falling victim to Thanos’s snap. Now Tony is left with the heartbreaking guilt of not being able to save the heroic teenager. You can bet he will return to the fight against Thanos with revenge as his only mission.
The Last Surviving Members of the Guardians of the Galaxy
The last time Nebula and Rocket were together was in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 when they had to save the galaxy from Ego’s diabolical plan to turn every planet he targeted with his seed into his domain.
Now, years later, they are the last remaining members of the Guardians of the Galaxy and the sad expression on their faces is truly heartbreaking.
Two Spies, Two Best Friends
Black Widow and Hawkeye have been there for one another since the beginning. Clint Barton saved Natasha Romanoff from her dark life as a Russian spy, Natasha saved Clint from Loki’s mind control. Both characters have been through the wringer and back but one thing they have always had is each other.
Who knows how their story will end in Avengers: Endgame but one can’t deny their everlasting friendship. Beautiful. *sniffle*
Heroes On A Mission
In Avengers: Infinity War we saw the Guardians of the Galaxy had a new ship which they used to attempt to save whoever needed saving.
Now we see a new band of heroes embarking on a mission in the vessel; Captain Marvel, Rocket, Captain America, Black Widow, War Machine, and Thor. Exciting!
Tony Stark and Pepper Potts Together Again
Tony Stark and Pepper Potts have had an interesting relationship throughout their involvement in the franchise. They have had their various ups and downs but at the end of the day, they always revolving toward one another again. The last time we saw them together was in Infinity War. The two engaged lovebirds were walking through a park when Tony started talking about potentially having children and making a family. For Tony, it finally seemed like things were going well…until Doctor Strange showed up and turned his entire world upside down.
It was just recently revealed that Pepper did indeed survive the snap and now, in this latest trailer, we were given a sneak peek at their reunion. It’s definitely going to be one of the most emotional moments in the movie and I can’t wait to see it.
Heroes United
Iron Man and Captain America’s didn’t start out as the best of friends. In fact, they actually didn’t like one another very much. But then after the Battle of New York, they became friends and for a while, it seemed like they could never be anything but allies. That is, until Captain America: Civil War, and suddenly everything changed.
The last time we saw Captain America and Iron Man together interacting they were both bloodied and battered from nearly killing each other in an emotional fight that still brings makes me teary whenever I see it.
Now, in this special look, seeing the two heroes together was already exciting. But the words, oh, that’s what puts this moment over the edge.
Tony Stark: “Do you trust me?”
Steve Rogers: “I do.”
😭 I love it so much.
Thanos Returns!
When first we met Thanos he was a towering figure resplendent in his golden armor.
Now he returns to the fray ready to end the nuisances striving to defeat him. I’m worried for The Avengers. Very, very worried.
They’re Back!
One thing I didn’t notice was that there’s always a moment in the Avengers movies that features Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor together. Their first meeting wasn’t under the greatest circumstances but it became clear that they were all equally skilled in power, in their own little ways.
Now, they return to end Thanos for their own, individual personal reasons and I am so excited!
The Avengers was the movie that began this incredible journey. Now, seven years later, we’re about to witness the final chapter to this story. I can’t wait to see how it ends.
(Hopefully, it’s a happy ending.)
Avengers Endgame takes the battle to Thanos on April 25th in the UK and April 26th in the US.
