Bandai reveals official promo images of the legendary bounty hunter coming to the Figuarts line this September
Bandai has a long chequered history of unveiling incredible new action figures and then banishing them to languish on the slowest production line in living history where they eventually fade away into memory. A Star Wars: The Force Awakens version of Han Solo was revealed a few years back, and though it looked set to become one of the best figures ever produced the figure has yet to reach the assembly line.
So, when Bandai’s Tamashii Nations disclosed that they were working on an action figure version of Boba Fett from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi for its S.H Figuarts line, fans were right to be more than a little sceptical. However, we are pleased to report that the legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter appears to be heading our way at long last.
Bandai has revealed several fantastic promo images of the figure which reveal the character in multiple awesome poses. Sadly, the accessories included with the figure appear to be limited with it expected to be released with one set of changeable hands, a “Star Wars” stand (Pictured) and his traditional blaster rifle.

Whether this figure can compete with the incredible incarnation produced by Medicom Toy’s Mafex range remains to be seen. S.H Figuarts figures tend to be scaled closer to Hasbro’s Black Series six-inch line which may appeal to some collectors, but the exceptional quality of the Mafex line is pretty impossible to top these days.
Boba Fett is expected to appear on import vendor sites for pre-order any day now for an expected September release, so keep your eyes peeled. This is one bounty you don’t want to miss out on. Either way, as a Boba Fett super-nerd, I’ll be adding this one to my collection post haste!
We’ll update you with news as it emerges.
