EA Star Wars and Respawn Entertainment unveil the gameplay for the highly anticipated single-player Star Wars adventure
After its exciting reveal at Star Wars Celebration, EA Star Wars and Respawn Entertainment have unveiled our first look at the awesome gameplay fans can expect to see when Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is unleashed this November. The game is described as an action-adventure game set after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Players will develop their Force abilities, hone their lightsaber techniques, and explore the ancient mysteries of a long-lost civilization – all while staying one step ahead of the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors.
Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm also released the powerful new poster, and it’s filled with tantalizing clues and details surrounding the upcoming action-adventure title. Check it out below!
Cal Kestis, a Padawan survivor of Order 66, is front and centre with droid companion BD-1 on his back; he stands ready for a battle, lightsaber ignited — though upon closer inspection, the bottom of the hilt appears broken. Behind him, the poster-like composition is divided by clouds of light and dark. In the dark half, the villainous, Jedi-hunting Second Sister holds her double-bladed lightsaber, leading the red-visor-sporting purge troopers, while AT-STs stalk below. Above are a ghostly ship graveyard and two yet-to-be-identified planets, with TIE fighters looming ominously. In the light portion of the image is Cal’s mentor, Cere, as well as the alien Greez, a ship chased by TIEs, Imperial walkers, and a mysterious glyph previously seen on a teaser poster. Burning embers blow in the wind at the bottom of the image, tying the piece together.
Fans of DC’s Gotham will be familiar with our new hero Cal Kestis. The latest addition to the Jedi Order is being portrayed by Gotham‘s Joker aka Cameron Monaghan and he will be taking the fight to the Empire when Fallen Order arrives on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on November 15th.
After the success of Star Wars Battlefront and Battlefront II, EA Star Wars appear to have produced an incredibly immersive Star Wars experience which the fans have been craving for some time. If this gameplay reveal is anything to go by, we can all look forward to a rollercoaster ride of Star Wars fun this Christmas.
