The Heroes in a Half-Shell meet the Dark Knight in an all-new range of awesome action figures
With Batman Vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles proving to be a crowd-pleaser amongst hardcore Batman and TMNT fans alike, it was only a matter of time before action figure incarnations of the characters were put into production.
Jake Castorena’s stunning animated feature delivered on the impossible. The director and his devoted team harnessed the best of both franchises and produced a fun, action-packed adventure which demonstrated how an unlikely alliance between the heroes in the half shell and the Dark Knight would work. It was nothing short of spectacular.
Fast forward to today, and the great team at DC Collectibles has announced the imminent arrival of an entire series of action figures from the movie. The sets are listed as GameStop Exclusives for San Diego Comic-Con 2019. Here’s the official line:
“Thrilled to announce our Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure line. Each 2-pack comes with a variety of accessories and hits stores beginning in September of 2019! Sold exclusively at GameStop! MSRP: $49.99”
The Line-Up Includes:
Batman and Leonardo – In Store September 2019
Robin and Raphael – In Store September 2019
Batgirl and Donatello – In Store October 2019
Alfred and Michelangelo – In Store November 2019
Ra’s Al Ghul and Shredder – In Store December 2019
We are yet to hear word on the availability of these figures outside of the United States, but it is not beyond reason to expect to see them appear with online vendors for worldwide distribution. The sets are available to buy individually as well as a bundle deal.
These new figures look incredible. DC Collectibles have a proven track record with animated action figures. Its Batman: The Animated Series line was incredible, and the level of detail applied to both The Batmobile and Batwing respectively was out of this world. If DC Collectibles can replicate their previous efforts, then fans of all ages can look forward to adding some very special figures to their collections; and that is something worth shouting Cowabunga for!
