Rambo: Last Blood WILL be R-Rated!

Stallone’s swansong as John Rambo will be a glorious and visceral bloodbath worthy of its R-Rating!

Rambo fans rejoice.

Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming Rambo: Last Blood will be R-Rated. The action legend took to his Instagram account to announce the wonderful news that Rambo’s swansong will be a gloriously violent R-Rated affair.  In addition to the news, Stallone posted a couple of new images from the movie revealing our battered hero dripping with blood and ready for more. The second image reveals our war-torn warrior strangling some poor guy to death. Check them out below:

Rambo: Last Blood is expected to serve as Stallone’s swansong for the character he has been the custodian of since his debut in the original First Blood way back in 1982. Over the course of his five films, Rambo has been to hell and back and has always emerged ready for more.

Here’s the official line for the movie:

When the daughter of one of his friends is kidnapped, Rambo (Stallone) — who has been working on a ranch — crosses the U.S.-Mexico border and quickly finds himself up against the full might of one of Mexico’s most violent cartels.

As a Rambo fan, I am thrilled to see Last Blood receiving a glorious R-Rating. To date, the series has never been shy about mangling body parts and cataloguing the true cost of war, and if this is to be Stallone’s farewell as Rambo, at least it’s going out hell for leather and continuing the franchise’s brutal traditions.

Huzzah!

Rambo: Last Blood will explode into cinemas on September 20th.
