Review:

The Avengers Infinity War Hot Toys line-up includes a variety of characters and Spider-Man in his Iron Spider is one of the latest releases. The suit was manufactured using a type of faux leather while the head was made out of plastic. It’s was probably the best material to get the closest likeness to the nanotechnology look while also not limiting the great range of articulation. It has over 30 points of articulation and with the use of faux leather, you can use these POA properly and put the figure in Spider-Man poses. They perfectly recreated the minutest of details on the suit which are accentuated by the variations in color. One thing that couldn’t be accurate though is when you change to the Peter Parker head, there’s just the head while in the movie you can actually see his neck. Due to the use of leather for the suit and the suit is only one piece sewed, there was no way to obtain the helmetless accurate Peter look.

That would be my big complaint about the figure but it’s also understandable why it was done. My second complaint is they included a Spider-Man mask while this suit is nanotechnology so it wasn’t necessary to include one, so it’s not really a complain but more of a remark. The interchangeable eyes for the Spider-Man mask use magnets so it’s pretty easy to remove them and use another pair of eyes. Each pair of eyes represent a different expression. The light-up LED eyes head was a great idea, that’s what he has in the movie! But the thing they don’t tell you is you’ll spend around 15 minutes trying to insert the electric batteries in the head, it’s really difficult as it’s a small area where you have to insert them.

The spider web effects are cool accessories, two of them can be attached on the bracelets of the figure, just be careful the holes are very small and the webs are very fragile. The spider legs all have 4 points of articulation so you can move any way you want it.

Unlike other Hot Toys, this one uses magnets for the interchangeable heads. This system was used to prevent the suit to be damaged when people were removing the heads and it’s a pretty neat system! The Peter Parker head is spot on Tom Holland, literally perfect!
