Titans | Deathstroke Menaces in the Awesome Trailer for Titans Season 2

The awesome new poster reveals our awesome band of heroes!

Today, DC Universe has unleashed a cool new poster for Titans Season 2. Just two weeks after the trailer arrived to delight the fans, the awesome new character poster has arrived to remind us of what we can expect when the series debut on September 6th.

Two weeks ago, the awesome trailer revealed our heroes basking in the limelight of their success while establishing themselves as a legitimate team, free of sidekicks and superhero masters. Leading the line as always is Brendan Thwaites‘ Dick Grayson/Robin. After finally emerging from Batman’s shadow in season one, it appears that the character is finally adopting his Nightwing persona for season two. Curran Walters also returns as Jason Todd / Robin who remains steadfast in his role as Batman’s current sidekick.

New additions to the cast include Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Esai Morales as Slade Wilson / Deathstroke, Natalie Gumede as Mercy Graves, Drew Van Acker as Garth / Aqualad and Joshua Orpin as Conner Kent / Superboy. The gripping and intense trailer reveals our first look at Bruce Wayne, Krypto, Superboy and Deathstroke, the latter of which looks menacing as he emerges from the shadows. Iain Glen slips effortlessly into the role as Bruce Wayne and can be seen mentoring Dick Grayson as they enter the threshold of Wayne Manor in the opening moments.

Titans: Season 2 Trailer:

Titans broke the mould with its visceral violence and unexpected bad language which only helped it legitimise itself as a contender in its own right. Brendan Thwaites came to the fore as Robin/Dick Grayson and despite loving his take on Robin, I found myself willing him to adopt his Nightwing persona for the finale. Sadly, that failed to materialise, but I am buoyed by his coming of age presence in the second season.
