Thomas uses the force to review the sensational new Jedi Master Yoda from S.H. Figuarts’ action figure collection
Tamashii Nations’ newest Star Wars addition to the S.H. Figaurts collection is Jedi Master Yoda from Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. It’s a Bandai Limited figure so you won’t be able to find it on every online store. After some time being shown at cons, this figure has finally been released and it doesn’t disappoint!
This figure comes with 3 interchangeable heads, 6 interchangeable hands, 3 interchangeable capes, one cane, one lightsaber and one Jedi Council seat. For once, Figuarts has made a big effort for an exclusive figure, they have included a nice amount of accessories! And a Jedi Council seat? I love this! Hopefully, they’ll do other members and will include the seats with them, that would be perfect!
This figure includes an all-new peg for hands that I think works much better than the older peg joint. I have a feeling it’s only for this figure but it would be a good idea to expand it to others because it’s a very good system.
My big complaint about this figure is the cape, they decided to use plastic instead of soft goods but that’s recurring complaint with Figuarts. Fabric always works better than plastic. There instead they had to do three different capes while if they had used fabric, it would have been just one cape and if you wanted a wind effect, they could have added wire inside the cape for a movement like the MAFEX range. Therewith plastic, there is one normal cape, one cape for when he sits on the seat and one for wind effect.
This figure has 23 points of articulation! It may be a small character but you can get some awesome action poses here! The three heads are incredible, it’s spot on Yoda and I really like the green shade they chose. It’s excellent! This time, all heads are good. You have a concentrating head, a basic but deep facial expression head and looking on one side head.
Unlike Hasbro, Figuarts focused on recreating Yoda’s outfit from Revenge Of The Sith and had it screen accurate instead of picking elements from different outfits.
Overall, Yoda is a great figure and comes with a nice amount of accessories!
