Knives Out | Rian Johnson Unveils A Series of Sharp New Character Posters

The veil of suspicion falls upon three generations of the Thrombey family … but who is the real killer?

Hot on the heels of the slick new character posters for Rian Johnson’s murder mystery whodunnit Knives Out, a brand new trailer has arrived which showcases the suspects in all their glory. The movie has already ensured its place as one of Autumn’s must-see movies following a torrent of rave reviews from its debut at the Toronto Film Festival and a few of those reactions kick off the cool new trailer.

This new trailer brings us a little closer to the suspects … and there are many! From the entitled Ransom Thrombey (Chris Evans) to the evasive Linda Thrombey (Jamie Lee Curtis), the suspects and their many motives are explored in far greater detail. We also get to learn a little more about Christoper Plummer’s unfortunate victim, Harlan Thrombrey. The acclaimed murder mystery writer becomes the main player in his own thriller leaving his entire family under the suspicion of Daniel Craig’s Detective Benoit Blanc.

Here’s the synopsis:

When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, the inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is mysteriously enlisted to investigate. From Harlan’s dysfunctional family to his devoted staff, Blanc sifts through a web of red herrings and self-serving lies to uncover the truth behind Harlan’s untimely death.

Alongside Daniel Craig and Chris Evans, Rian Johnson has amassed a wonderful all-star cast including Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, Lakeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martell, and Christopher Plummer.
