The Joker enjoys the carnage in the suitably cool exclusive IMAX exclusive one-sheet
The buzz surrounding Todd Phillips’ Joker is about to reach its crescendo. With the hype train at full steam ahead following the overwhelmingly positive reactions from its screening at the Venice Film Festival, fans of Gotham’s Clown Prince of Crime are already chomping at the bit to get their first look.
Eager to enhance our excitement is IMAX. Together with Warner Bros, the cinema giant has unleashed a suitably awesome new poster which reveals Joaquin Phoenix‘s fully transformed Joker basking in the chaos he has unleashed upon Gotham.
Check it out:
As is the norm nowadays, Joker will receive just one week on IMAX screens around the world before the revolving door ushers in its successor, but that won’t stop fans from flocking to catch it on the biggest screen possible. Should Joker go to be one of the most well-received critical and commercial successes in the DC locker, fans will be calling for a sequel and director Todd Phillips isn’t opposed to the idea.
One thing I will tell you: I would do anything with Joaquin, any day of the week. There’s nobody like him. If he was willing to do it, and if people show up to this movie, and Warners came to us and said, ‘You know what? If you guys could think of something…’ Well, I have a feeling that he and I could think of something pretty cool.
Exciting times for Gotham’s Clown Prince of Crime.
Joker is set for an October 4th 2019 release. Check back for our review in the coming weeks.
