The Men of Steel suit up ready for action in the Arrowverse crossover

In the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths ultimate crossover, The CW will be bringing Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow together to fight the forces of evil. But they won’t be alone. Dozens of heroes from across the DC Universe will be suiting up alongside them including several incarnations of the Man of Steel. Alongside current Arrowverse Superman Tyler Hoechlin, the five-part crossover will feature Superman Returns‘ Brandon Routh and Smallville’s Tom Welling.

With production well underway, Brandon Routh has taken to social media and has posted a series of images from the set, and the latest pick of the bunch features himself and Hoechlin suited up in their glorious Superman attire inside the lobby of the Daily Planet. Check it out:

Routh looks fantastic in his Kingdom Come suit and seems to have slipped straight back into the character he first portrayed in Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns in 2006. Despite the movie itself failing to break any new ground, Routh was the perfect torchbearer for the character following the passing of the great Christopher Reeve.

Of course, Routh isn’t the only former superhero to be returning to the fold for “Crisis on Infinite Earths“, other guest stars include Erica Durance, who played Lois Lane on Smallville, Batman: The Animated Series legend Kevin Conroy will star as Bruce Wayne, Jon Cryer returns as Lex Luther, Johnathon Schaech stars as Jonah Hex, Bitsie Tulloch as Lois Lane, LaMonica Garrett as the Monitor, and Ashley Scott as Huntress. Black Lightning’s Cress Williams, The Flash‘s John Wesley Shipp, and Batman: The Classic Series legend Burt Ward are also set to make appearances.
