Sonic gets a new look in the latest trailer for Paramount’s big-screen Sonic The Hedgehog adventure
After the divisive reaction to the first trailer for Sonic The Hedgehog, Paramount Pictures went back to the drawing board and restored the characters classic look for what is expected to be a nostalgic roller coaster ride of SEGA awesomeness. Sonic’s overly humanised look received an overwhelming fan backlash which spurred the team behind the movie into action.

After a period of uncertainty and director Jeff Fowler and the visual effects team at ILM promising to address fan concerns, the latest trailer has arrived and all is forgiven. Sonic is back and looks better than ever, and he is more than ready for the challenge of stopping Jim Carrey’s evil Dr Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik. Check it out:
So far, the social media reactions to this new trailer have been overwhelmingly positive and fans of the classic games have been appeased by the characters restored look. Whether these changes make for a box office hit remains to be seen. However, with the movie looking this good, things are looking up for the gaming worlds favourite blue hedgehog!
Sonic The Hedgehog zooms into cinemas on Valentine’s Day.
