The adventures of Jean Luc Picard will continue in Star Trek: Picard Season 2
Add a new coat of paint to the Enterprise and dust off your Starfleet uniform because Jean-Luc Picard is back in business. Although the hotly anticipated Star Trek: Picard has yet to stream a single episode, we are hearing that CBS All Access has already greenlit a second season to continue the adventures of Patrick Stewart‘s legendary Starfleet Captain.
Just like the upcoming first season which gets underway in the new year, the second will consist of ten episodes. Filming on season two is set to get underway as early as Spring with an expected release of late 2020 or early 2021.
Season one of Star Trek: Picard will debut on January 23th, 2020. The series will be available to US viewers on CBS All Access while viewers around the world can stream the series exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. To keep the series in line with its other tentpole series, Star Trek: Discovery, CBS has confirmed that Picard will release episodes weekly … meaning, there won’t be any Trek-Binges on the horizon.
The team behind Star Trek: Picard have done a bang-up job in crafting what appears to be a series of legitimate substance, with a methodical and well-structured storyline. And with the return of some of Star Trek TNG‘s most cherished characters, this series is a shoo-in to shoot straight to the top of every Trekkies watch list.
Star Trek: Picard stars Patrick Stewart, Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan, and Marina Sirtis.
