Thomas checks out the new S.H. Figuarts Scarlet Witch from Tamashii Nations
Tamashii Nations’ latest release from Avengers: Infinity War is Scarlet Witch, as every figure released in this line in the recent months, it’s an S.H. Figuarts Bandai Premium Web Exclusive. This figure comes with 8 interchangeable hands, 2 interchangeable faces, 1 additional front hairpiece, 3 magic effects. The magic effects can be attached to some of the hands.
The face sculpt is simply amazing, they nailed it, it really looks like Scarlet Witch! Thankfully the hair covers the sides of her face, you don’t see the demarcation of the removable face so that’s a good thing compared to some figures! The other face sculpt is the common Figuarts “looking the other way” face sculpt, it’s nice but I’m getting annoyed by these when they can clearly produce some great sculpts with varying facial expressions! The additional front hairpiece provides it with a windswept effect, which is pretty cool, that’s a nice accessory!
This figure has 21 points of articulation so you can get some great action poses. I really love that they got the hand positions right to recreate some of Wanda Maximoff‘s iconic scenes!
The outfit is quite simple – red and black, it’s screen accurate! When this figure was revealed at a toy event in Japan, the prototype had an enormous bust like in Japanese animes so I’m really glad they went back and changed it to something that was more accurate, that would have been pretty bad otherwise.

Final Thoughts
This figure is an excellent addition to the Avengers line, it’s the first Scarlet Witch/Wanda figure Bandai has ever produced and they totally nailed!
