Mystery Inc. Are on the Case in the Final Trailer for SCOOB!

Mystery Loves Company! Mystery Inc. come face-to-face with Dick Dastardly in the final trailer for Scooby-Doo‘s new origin story

It may be hard to believe but the character of Scooby-Doo has been gracing our screens for the better part of fifty years. The adventures of Mystery Inc first began way back in 1969 and have gone on to become household favourites with adults and children alike. But, until now, the origins of our heroic ghost hunters have remained a mystery…

Well, all that is about to change. Today, Warner Bros. has released the final trailer for its upcoming Scooby-Doo origin story titled SCOOB!. The trailer reveals the adorable Great Dane as a puppy and encountering Shaggy for the very first time before the dynamic duo uncovers a sinister plot concocted by Hanna-Barbera villain Dick Dastardly. Here’s the official synopsis:

“SCOOB!” reveals how lifelong friends Scooby and Shaggy first met and how they joined with young detectives Fred, Velma and Daphne to form the famous Mystery Inc. Now, with hundreds of cases solved and adventures shared, Scooby and the gang face their biggest, most challenging mystery ever: a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world.  As they race to stop this global “dogpocalypse,” the gang discovers that Scooby has a secret legacy and an epic destiny greater than anyone imagined.

In addition to the awesome final trailer, the studio also released a glossy new one-sheet which reveals the main characters in all their glory. Check it out below:

Starring in “SCOOB!” are Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth) as Scooby-Doo’s best friend, Shaggy; Mark Wahlberg (The Departed) as Blue Falcon; Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter) as the infamous Dick Dastardly; Gina Rodriguez (Deepwater Horizon) as Velma; Zac Efron (The Greatest Showman) as Fred; Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia!) as Daphne; Kiersey Clemons (Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising) as Falcon Fury pilot Dee Dee Skyes; Ken Jeong (The Hangover trilogy) as the Falcon Force’s Dynomutt; Tracy Morgan (What Men Want) as Captain Caveman; Simon Cowell (American Idol) as himself; and Frank Welker (Transformers) returns to reprise his role as Scooby-Doo.
