Annlyel delves into the possibility of Mystique infiltrating the MCU
One of the most interesting and intriguing X-Men characters is Mystique. She’s not exactly the most heroic broad, switching allegiances to Erik Lensherr (Magneto) and Charles Xavier (Professor X) on a whim…or whenever the world is truly at stake. And, because of her shapeshifting abilities, she is also very hard to pinpoint. She can infiltrate any meeting at any time if she feels the urge to and…what if Mystique has secretly been among The Avengers for years and we didn’t know it.
She can take on the form of anyone she sees. How do we know that maybe she hasn’t been standing around as Nick Fury sometimes? We’ve already seen Talos pretend to be Nick Fury for an entire Spider-Man movie! Or maybe Black Widow in Captain America: The Winter Soldier wasn’t even Black Widow. Maybe it was Mystique in disguise. That would explain why she drastically converted from seemingly having a thing for Steve Rogers to suddenly liking Bruce Banner a whole lot in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Lol.
All in all, the possibilities are endless for an eventual debut of the blue X-lady and I am truly thrilled to see how the creative minds behind the brilliance of Marvel Studios manage to bring her into this story.
